Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood
Southern Cross Montessori is a family owned and has just transitioned from a Kindergarten program to a long day care. Our service is situated in the seaside town of Torquay. The program caters for 28 children per day and it is our vision to create an environment where children can be creative, engaged lifelong learners.
Our classroom is home-like with lots of natural light. Our classroom provides opportunities for children to feel fulfilled and develop in a balanced way, making for a rich learning environment.
We are currently looking to recruit qualified early Childhood Educators for shifts ranging from 7:45am starts to 6:15pm finishes ranging from 5 to 8-hour shifts (multiple positions available) for full time or permanent part time work.
A qualification is Montessori is desirable but a willingness to adopt the Montessori philosophy and principles is essential.
We are looking for someone with a passion for interacting with children and creating dynamic learning experiences.

The successful applicant will
- Have a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood or Children’s Services
- Hold a current working with Children Check
- Current 1stAid, Anaphylaxis and CPR
- Be committed to deliver a high-quality education and NQS quality indicators
- Be innovative, creative and motivated
- Professional in manner and appearance
- Ability to display initiative and be proactive
